Goinkars Own Academy - Christmas New Year Get-together
Christmas/New Year get-together for its members and their guests. At
4 p.m. the guests began arriving at the beautifully decorated
restaurant at Hotel Mehran, where they were all presented with a
gift bag.
The evening commenced with a welcome address by the Master of
Ceremony-Marshall Fernandes, the President of Goinkars Own Academy
was called on to say a few words, after which Francis Misquita of
Edmonton visiting Pakistan was invited to say a few words. A one
minute silence was observed for the departed souls of the Goinkars
Own Academy.
While, the guests were seated, the MC announced that a table game
(Christmas Puzzle) organized by Marie-Anna be played. Table numbers
8 and 9 were the winners of this game. Thereafter, a card game
organized by Marshall was played and one could see the young and the
old in action, there were about 50 prizes for this game.
Announcement for Hi Tea was made, a sumptuous spread of about 20
items was laid out, which was enjoyed by the all. As the members
were seated the Raffle draw was held. The lucky winners listed

A round of Tambola – Silver Pool was played, followed by lucky draws
concluding the event to a close, as the guests commenced saying
their good byes and thanks to the Executive Committee for organizing
such a wonderful evening.
No event is a success without team work, I would like to thank our

Marshall Fernandes, Karen & Adrian Fletcher, Carol & Fabian Bob,
